I’ve been frustrated lately. I’m not the most patient person on the planet. I like seeing results, and I like seeing them immediately. I don’t like waiting for anything. And, needless to say, that can be a problem, especially in a field like writing.

Is social media ruining reading?
When there’s so much constant overstimulation, books may seem like an archaic form of entertainment. Nothing moves or glows. You can’t comment or like or share the content like you can other forms of media. Reading isn’t nearly as interactive an experience as scrolling through TikTok or watching a YouTube video.
