I do my best writing at this one little coffee shop. I always have. I don’t know why, but I’m not very productive anywhere else.
I can’t write at home. Perhaps it’s the safe space or the distractions, but I simply can’t jot down anything of value when I write in an environment that’s that comfortable.
I’m sure, for others, this is opposite. There are doubtless tons of people who can’t focus anywhere they’re not totally at ease. But, at least for me, there needs to be a very specific vibe for me to achieve any sort of progress.
And this one little coffee shop has exactly the right vibe.
I wrote almost all of both of my books at this shop. Now, it’s kind of tradition. If I ever move far away, my writing will probably take a serious hit.
But honestly, I can’t imagine writing anywhere else. This place just feels right.
What about you? Where does writing come naturally for you?
