You guys…

The sequel to my first book, “The Love You Know,” is done. Ready. Edited. Designed. Formatted.

It’s scheduled for release on February 1st, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

I. Am. So. Excited.

This is beyond cool for me. I always wanted to write a novel. Then when I wrote my first one, I thought, “OK. That adventure is done. On to the next topic.” I fully expected to be one and done with that story. But when I moved on to new characters, new plotlines, and new ideas, I just felt like there was something wrong. The first story felt unfinished.

So I went back to it. I re-opened the vault and took another walk with my main character, Odette, holding her hand as she navigated her next series of heartache, heartbreak — love and loss — decision and indecision.

We journeyed together again, and it felt like coming home.

I keep saying this second one will be the last, but really, who knows? Sometimes you think you’re done with your characters, but they aren’t quite finished with you.

Writing is like that.
